Original DF Testing Reports
      #162098 - Sat Jan 12 2008 04:09 AM

I have heard about Dan posting some reports about his testing of the DF. I am unable to locate any of these posts using the search function. Does someone have a direct link to, or a copy of, the reports?

I recommend wearing a helmet with the chin strap tightly secured, allcheck. That way, as you're reviewing the Bladeforums thread bigocean posted, your jaw won't become unhinged and drop to the floor.

I tried that same vice test with a lesser knife many, many years ago......I ended up on my butt....when the blade snapped off. I'm very happy, that SKYCO knives can take a little abuse.

Those were the ones we posted on CGN and Cold One said he would have to maybe get
ONE of them.

I just got my DFLE and I am freakin out over how nice it is! I have wanted a nice comp bowie for a long time and now I have one(well 4 actually )that is not so expensive that I would be afraid to use it.

This thing has a beautiful feeling and heft to it.

I'm glad to see this again as a reminder of why I have SYKs. I just got my DFLE on Christmas Eve, and just waiting until it warms up a little out in the woods before I go banging around. I really like this DFLE, I like it better than my DFCG, as far as the blade weight is concerned.

Well Done Dan!!!!!

I have cleared more brush, weeds, pine trees, and you name it with stunning results. I used a machete in years gone by, but now it's the Dog Father exclusively!

It handles every job with ease and above all SAFETY!!!

It is a joy to use,and hands NEVER tire from Res-C banging around in them.
It is the finest hard use knife I have EVER used. It comes back to a razors edge with VERY LITTLE effort on my part at all.

The perfect knife.

Now bring on Spring and the new scrub growth!!

Peace.

I gotta admit even though I've seen the thread many times, it's great to go back and look through it again.
