You already know what I bring.
Knives and survival gear.

The Pack

on me (sorry it's a little blurry)

The Pack and Camera

I usually travel light in the Gorge and just use a Military Woodland Camo Vest

I wear Propper OD now, I did use to use a pair of woodland camo pants (worked great). In the Gorge, coyote brown's the only way to go. Jackets, I either use my Tan and Black striped Nike Sport Jacket, Marmot Gravity Jacket, or the Black Diamond Tan Jacket. Usually take a sweater a long, too. Boots, I use Garmont T8. Did have Hi-Tec and Magnum, but the T8s are the most comfortable
Cloak and I might need to get some Multicam for the Gorge. Right Cloak?

Power Bar, Super Glue, pens, pencil, 2 Bic lighters, ferro rod, flint/magnesium combo, water filter, water purification tabs, notebook, signal mirror, wire saw, compass, whistle, treated cotton ball tinder, windproof matches/striker, 55o cord, plastic tubing, Victorinox OHT, Ezlap Diamond Rod (not pictured), 4AA bats, 100mph tape, electrical tape, duct tape containing: (3 needles, 2 wood screws, 7 nails, 50 feet of sewing thread), 2 safety pins (large), cravat, GPS, waterproof hat, neck gaiter/hood, pace count beads, candle, all in a military ammo pouch.
The fixed blade knife changes depending on my mood.
I have a lot of other stuff in my truck - canteens, blankets, various hand warmers, tent, tarp, etc.

I keep a similar kit in this pack for EDC - more folders, less fixed blades. If I go out, I just toss the small kit in with the rest of the stuff in my pack. I just happened to have this pic available - I don't pack the 1911 with me all the time.
I EDC a Fenix L1D light as well - just pocket carried, but always with me.
Its a Blackhawk Three Day Assault pack w/ (removable) internal frame.

Ah Macgregor, don't leave me out of this!
My EDC outdoors rig, RMD in Okuden Kydex attached by MALICE clips to a MOLLE thigh rig. Its set up for a left hand carry at the moment, my RD7 has been riding on the right, and I'm ambidextrous so its no big deal.

Here's what inside that M16 mag pouch: -Flint/Magnesium/Wood With striker -Cotton -Strike Anywhere matches -Flashlight -Band-aids -Compass -Whistle

My wilderness EDC pack

The contents are numerous, but some basic features: RTAK-II is rigged so I can draw it over my shoulder (and sheath it) without taking off the pack. SOG Seal Pup is strapped to the back. 100ft of Rope, about 5 climbing-grade carabiners. Figure-Eight descender. The left strap has a CRKT A.B.C. Hammond Tanto on an inverted draw. Two folders, ZT0200 and BM Griptillian are aviliable in pouches on the shoulder straps. 35ft. Of OD paracord on the outside, 100Ft on the inside. 5ft. of Nylon webbing. Other stuff

you can see how the shoulder draw works in this one. LOL and no matter what sharp claims, it was my idea!

I also forgot too mention that Cloak and I carry probably around 50-100 ft worth of paracord.
In my pack is:

Food.
Depends on what we want and how long we are out. Short trips 3-5 hours, we take fruit (pomelo, larger than a honey dew or cantaloupe) and cliff bars. Longer trips 6-9 hours, we take sandwiches (pb&j, roastbeef, etc), chips, cookies, various assortments of sweets. Of course, we always carry water. Sometimes we'll take fruit juices.
and/or...
Clothes (shirt, pants, socks, underwear)
and/or ...
my tactical vest for when I really just want to be traveling quickly.
Here's the vest in my pack. As you can see, the bag still has a lot of space left. (notice, my watter bladder is also in it)

Here is size reference for the pouch in the back. The FBM can easily fit in it and I can add more stuff.

Front, back, etc.

In the vest:
I can carry a water bladder, or turn it the container into a small pack and carry clothes, depends on how I feel, the outside weather, and how long we're gonna be gone. In the other pouches, I carry all the necessities for survival. Though, I'm constantly changing both the pack and vest to better suit my needs.
Thigh Rig (usually used in conjunction with just the vest)

The little pouch on the sheath contains: matches, band-aids, neosporin, whistle, compass, cotton fluff, and cotton swabs, all in a little baggy. The baggy can duplicate as a source of water by tying it over a leafy branch, evaporations and condensation will draw drinkable water ( no need to filter or purify) from the branch.
I also usually carry this shirt: Nike Sphere React
Front

Back

It's one of those tight fitting ones that can act both as conserving heat and wicking away sweat quickly. I usually always will have this with me.

CLIF BARS!
mmm mmm good
you have to have been wet and hiking for at least 12-14 hours, with only Clif bars to eat, in order to truly appreciate what a beautiful food they are
makes me hungry...
damn, setting up for those picks ruined all the effort i went to this afternoon cleaning up gear
p.s. Sharp, the Hibbin is fixed, paracord wrapped, and badder than ever

What I thought you got this idea from somewhere else.
I also remembered it was in the Cabela's catalog. The guy in pic with the Slimline Machete had it in that position.

Nice thread, guys! I am currently working on modifying and building a couple, or a couple dozen, small EDC survival kits. Your gear has given me food for thought.

Good luck with your kits roo, dont froget those essential godzilla figures for hunting and protection.
